Some 45 pupils and in a remote village this town were recipients of the “Plan Samahan 2011” of the Philippine National Police (PNP) here that included medical-dental services and distribution of goods and school supplies.
LAMUT, Ifugao- With increasing cases of dengue in the province, the Ifugao State University (IFSU) is organizing its own dengue brigade in its four campuses.

Police Inspector Jeffrey Vicente, Hingyon Chief of Police, described how they had to climb the mountain and carefully traversed a narrow trail for three hours before reaching the Humalphop Elementary School in barangay Mompolia here.
The IFSU main campus, which is located at Barangay Nayon here, reported that their dengue brigade is composed of officers and members of the Civilian Army Trainees (CAT) who are tasked to spearhead some activities which will eradicate the breeding places of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.

The school caters to a total of 45 pupils from kindergarten to grade six. The pupils are combined due to their small number, Vicente said.
With 56 cases reported in this town, members of the said brigade conducted search and destroy clean up activities in every corner of the university campus.

Vicente said that the residents were also invited as recipients to the government services brought by the PNP and the local health office such as medical and dental mission, distribution of goods such as three sacks of used clothes and blood typing, among others.
Alfonso Lista town where the Potia campus is located, registered the biggest number of cases with two deaths.

The school children were also given sports equipment such as two sets of volleyball and two sets of badminton; school bags, supplies and slippers.
Lagawe campus, on the other hand, is located where the most number of cases in Lagawe came from, according to DOH records.

Vicente added that two of his men, SPO2 John Dulawan and PO2 Lingde Nalitom gave free haircuts to the boys who have long hair.
The Tinoc campus has relatively low case but the school administration and students are working hard to prevent the occurrence of the said disease.

‘We are bringing the basic services to the people as a way for them to see and feel the sincerity of the government that we care for their needs especially those from the far flung and depressed areas where insurgents conduct their anti government campaign’, Vicente said.

Dubbed as “Plan Samahan 2011’, this is in line with President Aquino’s program on Internal Security Operations (ISO) and national security strategy of the realization of lasting peace and stability development and social progress, thru a multi-stakeholder approach focused on the protection of the citizens rights and civil liberties .

According to Vicente, the items they distributed were solicited by his office from friends like Elnora Dulnuan, the owner of the Elnora Merchandise in barangay Piwong here, and other residents and acquaintances.

The police personnel also pitched in from their own pockets and solicited an additional amount from the municipal local government unit here which they used to buy a pig they butchered which they all partook during lunch time.

Vicente also disclosed that the barangay local government unit here donated one sack of rice for the said purpose.

The barangay officials led by Barangay Captain Benito Huaigon tasked some residents to carry the sacks of goods, school supplies and sport facilities a few days before the scheduled visit of the PNP and other government workers.

Dietary supplement is a product that contains vitamins, minerals, herbs or other botanicals, amino acids, enzymes, and/or other ingredients intended to supplement the diet. Manufacturers and distributors of dietary supplements and dietary ingredients are prohibited from marketing products that are adulterated or misbranded. That means that these firms are responsible for evaluating the safety and labeling of their products before marketing to ensure that they meet all the requirements of DSHEA and FDA regulations.

Wars of ancient history were about possessions, territory, power, control, family, betrayal, lover's quarrel, politics and sometimes religion.

But we are in the Modern era and supposedly more educated and enlightened .

Think about this. Don't just brush off these questions.

  • Why is RELIGION still involved in WARS? Isn't religion supposed to be about PEACE?
  • Ask yourself; What religion always campaign to have its religious laws be accepted as government laws, always involved in wars and consistently causing WARS, yet insists that it's a religion of peace?

WHY??

There are only two kinds of people who teach tolerance:
  1. The Bullies. They want you to tolerate them so they can continue to maliciously deprive you. Do not believe these bullies teaching tolerance, saying that it’s the path to prevent hatred and prejudice.
  2. The victims who are waiting for the right moment to retaliate. They can’t win yet, so they tolerate.
