SK Zambo holds workshop on planning and budgeting

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Zamboanga City Federation is conducting a workshop on planning and budgeting intended for SK officials from November 5 to 8 at Grand Astoria Hotel.

Cary John Pioc, SK Federation President, said in an interview that with the workshop, it will prepare the SK officials on how to prepare their Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan and Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program.

Present during the activity are the SK Chairman, SK Kagawads, SK Treasurers, and the SK Secretaries. The participants, after the training, will present their outputs to their youth constituents in the barangay.

Among the resource lectures for the SK planning and budgeting are Ermingarda Medalla of the City Budget Office and Evelyn Potani of the City Planning Office.

The first batch is composed of 23 barangays while the three batches are composed of 25 barangays each.

“This is taxpayers’ money. Before we use this, projects must be planned properly so that the money will not go to waste,” Pioc stressed.
