Run 2 Donate Blood set on June 12

CEBU CITY, June 9 (PNA) -- A run for a cause dubbed as Run 2 Donate Blood will be held on Sunday at the Department of Health (DOH) 7 on Osmena Blvd., Cebu City.

Race organizer and the president of the Cebu Ultrarunners Club (CUC) Tony Galon said the event would have the 3K and 5K categories.

The race is open to all and is free of charge.

The only registration requirement is three empty plastic bottles, as part of the organizer’s environmental awareness campaign.

Galon said the event was more of a blood donation and to help save lives.

After the run, the runners are encouraged to donate blood.

Last year, 115 runners joined the Run 2 donate Blood and more than 60 of them donated blood successfully.
