Province acquires 27 heavy equipment for road repair

THE Provincial Government inaugurated 23 heavy equipment units that will be deployed around Cebu.

Gov. Hilario Davide III said that four more will be arriving.

The purchase worth P227,385,350 consisted of three hydraulic excavators, two crawler tractors, two wheel loaders, two motor graders, two vibrator rollers, a forklift, a manlift, two self-loaders, nine dump trucks, a water truck and two boom trucks.

These will be distributed in towns that have an ongoing road project next month.

The municipality that will use the equipment until the project is completed will shoulder fuel expenses.

Five task forces will be assigned to monitor the equipment, the governor said.
