LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, May 17 (PNA)--The provincial government of Pangasinan, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Zuellig Family Foundation, will hold a Provincial Leadership and Health Governance Program Colloquium, coinciding with the graduation rites of the Provincial Health Officer and Chiefs of Hospitals on Wednesday (May 18) at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen starting at 2 p.m.

The course on health leadership is a significant endeavor that addresses the essential needs on health reforms to achieve excellent hospital management -- making Pangasinan the first province in the country to be granted such graduation rites involving the Governor and selected provincial health officials, said Butch Velasco, information officer.

"This signifies our strong determination to further scale up the health sector of the province by enhancing the capability of health leaders in providing quality public and hospital delivery of health services geared towards sustaining our present status as number one Province in Health Governance," said Velasco.

Attended by health leaders and personnel, the activities will be spearheaded by Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr., Carlos Jericho Petilla, as well as Dr. Enrique A. Tayag, Director IV of the DOH-Bureau of Local Health System Development and other key officials of the province.
