PWD sensitivity training marks 38th National Disability Week in Pangasinan

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, July 19 (PNA) -- In line with the 38th National Disability Week celebration, a two-day PWD (Persons with Disability) Sensitivity Training will be conducted by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) on July 20-21 at The President Hotel in Lingayen.

The event, to be led by Gov. Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III, will start with a program at 8:30 a.m. on July 20 to be followed by the awarding of assistive devices to identified PWDs.

Afterwards, Gov. Espino will award incentives to PHILSPADA players.

Training proper will start at 1 p.m. with topics to include Sensitivity to Mobility Impairment and Sensitivity to Speech and Hearing Impairment.

Several topics are scheduled on July 21 such as Learning Paradigm Review, Sensitivity to Learning, Early Detection, Sensitivity to Vision Impairment, and Planning for Community Trainors.
