ILOILO CITY, June 8 (PNA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Iloilo will be launching a series of entrepreneurial seminars through its Negosyo Center to encourage more Ilonggos to venture into business.

This June, the Negosyo Center will facilitate the conduct of seminars on taxation, accounting for non-accountants, financing forum (batch one), food safety and manufacturing practices, bag-making using hand-woven materials, and product development this second quarter.

The series of fora for the third quarter will include materials and inventory control, financing forum (batch two), intellectual property protection, business plan preparation, and packaging and labeling consultancy.

Lastly, the fourth quarter will cover marketing fundamentals, franchising, and techno-investment forum for cacao.

Exact dates for the mentioned forums are yet to be announced.

Negosyo Center also holds a regular entrepreneurship seminar on business start-up every second Tuesday of the month at the DTI office, from 9 am to 12 noon.

All seminars are open for everyone and are free of charge.
