HAU-SBA achieves IACBE reaccreditation

HOLY ANGEL University – School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) together with the Graduate School of Business (GSB), successfully received Reaffirmation of Accreditation from the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education ( IACBE) as officially stated on the IACBE Board of Commissioners’ Letter received from Ms. LaNita Malinowski, Director of Internal Operations for IACBE, last December 23, 2016.

This was a result of the IACBE Board of Commissioner’s meeting in Orlando, Florida, USA held on December 6 to 8, 2016. It can be recalled that the team had a site visit at Holy Angel University (HAU) on July 24 to 26 of last year. The team was composed of Prof. Dennis Gash (IACBE President), Dr. Ralph Mason (Team Chair), and Dr. Nipoli Kamdar (Member) and the said visit also included a dialogue with SBA’s key stakeholders, and a meeting with the University’s administrative and support personnel.

With the IACBE accreditation, SBA and GSB are given seal of commitment to provide academic excellence and quality improvement in business education, and that the business programs underwent and passed the rigorous evaluation made by the independent external reviewers, complying with the IACBE’s Accreditation Principles which are 1) Outcomes Assessment, 2) Strategic Planning, 3) Curriculum, 4) Faculty, 5) Scholarly and Professional Activities, 6) Resources, 7) Internal and External Relationships, 8) International Business Education, and 9) Educational Innovation.

In a separate event, HAU will be publicly recognized for achieving accreditation at the 2017 IACBE Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting scheduled on April 20, 2017 in San Francisco, California, USA.
