Eladio M. Carpio (1874 - 1962)

Eladio Carpio, the family's patriarch, was said to be born in Luzon on February 18, 1874, came to Zamboanga City, acquired vast areas of lands in the Mercedes and in other parts of the City, and married Dorotea Manuel, a Zamboangueña lass.
He died on May 27, 1962, while his wife, Dorotea Manuel, born in 1880 and died on July 1, 1961, both of them were buried in the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.
Their children:

1. Pedro M. Carpio - (According to some accounts, he died in 1945 after the Philippine Liberation)
2. Felipe M. Carpio - (1903 - 1992)
3. Leonarda M. Carpio - date of birth and death unknown
4. Alipio M. Carpio - date of birth and death unknown
5. Simon M. Carpio - (1909 - 1988) - Simon M. Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City on October 28, 1909. He is said to be the youngest son of Eladio M. Carpio and Dorotea Manuel Carpio and married Dolores Diaz Solano (1917-1997), born on September 16, 1917 and died, January 26, 1997. Their marriage was blessed with seven living children, six daughters and one son, and four of them died in infancy.
   Simon died because of Cancer on May 29, 1988 at the age of 79 and his wife, Dolores Diaz Solano, died due to Cancer on January 26, 1997 at the age of 80, they were buried side by side at the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.

     1. Purificacion Solano Carpio - Zapanta - (1930 - 2007) - Purificacion Solano Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City on December 7, 1930. The eldest daughter of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Diaz Solano, and married to Daniel Zapanta, Sr.(deceased), born on July 21, 1919 and died on June 6, 2001, a war veteran during the World War II. She died at the age of 76. She and her husband were interred at the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.

     2. Rosa Solano Carpio - Guardian - (1933 - 1998) -: Rosa Solano Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City on May 16, 1933. The second daughter of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Diaz Solano and married Alejandro Guardian.She died of Cancer on July 25, 1998 and was interred at the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes near the tombs of her parents, Simon and Dolores.

     3. Gloria Solano Carpio - Jalon - (1938 - 1997): Gloria Solano Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City on April 16,1938 and died on August 8, 1998. The fourth daughter of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Diaz Solano and married Diosdado Jalon. She died at the age of 61 and was interred at the Old Catholic Cemetery.

     4. Leticia Solano Carpio - Aizon: Leticia Solano Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City on October 26, 1930. The third daughter of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Diaz Solano, married Lauriano Gregorio Aizon.

     5. Lourdes Solano Carpio - (1941 - 2003): Lourdes Solano Carpio was born in Isabela, Basilan Province on March 16, 1941. She is the fifth daughter of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Solano Carpio, and married to Antonio Dela Rosa Carpio, Sr. of Lamitan, Basilan Province, son of Angel Carpio(deceased) and Esperanza Dela Rosa(deceased), on December 1, 1962. She died at the age of 62 on November 12, 2003 and was buried at the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.
        • Their marriage was blessed with four children, two daughters and two sons, namely:
          1. Maria Edna Solano Carpio, born on July 28, 1963 at Mercedes, Zamboanga City. The eldest daughter of Lourdes Solano Carpio and Antonio dela Rosa Carpio and married CPO Edgar A. Morales PN (Ret.)of Naga, Bicol province on December 6, 1982.
             • Their union was blessed with three children and one died during infancy, namely:
               1. Bryan Carpio Morales - April 26, 1984
               2. Christine Jessa Carpio Morales, born on December 10, 1986 and had a union with Neil Patrick Alvarez Domingo of Mercedes, Zamboanga City.
                  • Their union was blessed with one child
                    1. Patrick Kyle Morales Domingo, born on November 6, 2006.
               3. Donna Mae Carpio Morales - July 25, 1989
               4. Edgar Joseph Carpio Morales - born on October 16, 1995 and died November 4, 1995
          2. Rolando Solano Carpio, the second child of Lourdes Solano Carpio and Antonio dela Rosa, Sr. He had his first wife in the name of Aniceta, with whom he had two children, but later on married to Divina, with whom he had three children, namely:

               2. Unknown child
             • Children with second wife, Divina:
               1. Rosalinda Carpio
               2. Regina Carpio
               3. Unknown baby
          3. Ramil Antonio Solano Carpio Jr., the third child of Lourdes Solano Carpio and Antonio dela Rosa, Sr. and married to Cristina Araneta of Mercedes, Zamboanga City.
             • They had three children, namely:
               1. Christopher A. Carpio
               2. Emelyn A. Carpio
               3. Anthony A. Carpio
          4. Jessibel Solano Carpio - Ibañez, the youngest daughter of Lourdes Solano Carpio and Antonio dela Rosa, Sr. She married Danilo Sixto Ibañez of Guiwan, Zamboanga City.
             • They had two daugthers, namely:
               1. Angelyne C. Ibañez
               2. Nicole C. Ibañez
     6. Gliceria Solano Carpio: Gliceria Solano Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City in the year XXXX. The sixth child of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Diaz Solano. She did not marry and did not have children.
     7. Noel Solano Carpio: Noel Solano Carpio was born in Zamboanga General Hospital, Zamboanga City in the year 1959. The youngest and the only son among the children of Simon Manuel Carpio and Dolores Diaz Solano and married Emily Galon Buendia.
