Eladio M. Carpio (1874 - 1962)

Eladio Carpio, the family's patriarch, was said to be born in Luzon on February 18, 1874, came to Zamboanga City, acquired vast areas of lands in the Mercedes and in other parts of the City, and married Dorotea Manuel, a Zamboangueña lass.
He died on May 27, 1962, while his wife, Dorotea Manuel, born in 1880 and died on July 1, 1961, both of them were buried in the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.
Their children:

  1. Pedro M. Carpio - (According to some accounts, he died in 1945 after the Philippine Liberation)
  2. Felipe M. Carpio - (1903 - 1992)
  3. Leonarda M. Carpio - date of birth and death unknown
  4. Alipio M. Carpio - date of birth and death unknown
  5. Simon M. Carpio - (1909 - 1988) - Simon M. Carpio was born in Mercedes, Zamboanga City on October 28, 1909. He is said to be the youngest son of Eladio M. Carpio and Dorotea Manuel Carpio and married Dolores Diaz Solano (1917-1997), born on September 16, 1917 and died, January 26, 1997. Their marriage was blessed with seven living children, six daughters and one son, and four of them died in infancy.
    Simon died because of Cancer on May 29, 1988 at the age of 79 and his wife, Dolores Diaz Solano, died due to Cancer on January 26, 1997 at the age of 80, they were buried side by side at the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.
