MAKATI CITY, August 5 (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry – National Capital Region (DTI-NCR) recently launched the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program in the South of Metro Manila.
Some 24 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Taguig, Makati, Pasay and the Pateros enrolled to become mentees in the KMME program held last August 1, 2019.
DTI Assistant Secretary Blesila Lantayona of the Regional Operations Group encouraged the participants to join in programs organized by the DTI so that entrepreneurs can stay competitive with its regional peers. She was joined by Regional Director Marcelina Alcantara during the event.
The KMME program aims to help MSMEs scale up their business thru weekly coaching and mentoring. The program is in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE).
The program gathers a pool of experts and successful businessmen who will then act as brother mentors to the budding entrepreneurs. In return, the mentees have to commit to attend all the mentoring sessions spread over the 10-week course duration.
