URDANETA CITY, June 8 (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the Ilocos will deliver overseas employment opportunities closer to Pangasinenses with a special recruitment activity (SRA) on Thursday, June 9 at the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) here.

DOLE-1 Regional Director Grace Ursua said a licensed recruitment agency will offer job orders for professionals and skilled workers needed in Japan.

“The Laguna-based White Dove Recruitment Corporation has approved job orders for welders, painters, machinists, auto mobile repairers, electronic equipment assemblers, casting workers, engineers, plastic molders, industrial packagers, accountants, medical interpreters, among others,” she said.

Ursua said that jobseekers interested to work abroad and who possess the skills and credentials are encouraged to avail of the opportunity.

She advised applicants to bring multiple sets of application documents such as cover letters, resumes/bio data, original and photocopies of passport, diplomas, transcript of records, employment and training certificates, pictures and other proofs of credentials.

According to Ursua, the SRA will be helpful for jobseekers because they do not need to go to Manila and incur bigger expenses.

“Like job fairs, the SRA is among the strategies implemented by DOLE and its partners to facilitate employment of jobseekers,” she added.
