DOJ-PPA Liloy sub-station conducts DRRM Basic Seminar

Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte (PIA) --- In line with the observance of Disaster Resilience Month and the 41st Founding Anniversary of Parole and Probation Administration(PPA), the Dept. of Justice-PPA Liloy Sub-station, Zamboanga del Norte, in coordination with the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Liloy conducted a Basic Risk Reduction and Management Seminar recently at Senior Citizen Building, Fatima, this municipality.

It was participated in by the PPA personnel, probationers, parolees and the members of the Volunteer Probation Assistants Association (VPAA).

LDRRM Officer Engr. Ralph Emmanuel S. Naong, exhorted the participants, especially those living in the far-flung barangays to share what they have learned from the seminar to the other residents of their barangays to acquire the much-needed awareness and knowledge to be able to execute appropriate action in times of either man-made or natural disaster.

On the other hand, DOJ-PPA Liloy Sub-station head, Parole and Probation Officer II Jason Quillo also urged the probationers and parolees to include the disaster risk and management information campaign as part of their Community Work Service and one of their contribution to the community that would help hasten their successful rehabilitation with them.

Aside from Quillo and Naong, Ms. Jovie P. Otong and Mr. Gary P. Bolando of DOJ-PPA Liloy Sub-station and LDRRMO-Liloy headed by Engr. Cesar Wayne B. Daarol, also made great contribution to the success of the said seminar.
