Clark locator wins inaugural CSR excellence award

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga (PNA) -- One of the biggest locator here has been recognized by the country’s largest and most reputable human resource association for developing an innovative approach to providing livelihood and community service in Clark contiguous areas.
Luenthai Philippine’s “iServe.iGive Back” program has won the 2015 CSR Excellence Award by the People Management Association of the Philippines HRM Foundation (PMAP).
Besting other entries in this nation-wide search under the Livelihood Category, the program was rated high on innovation, sustainability, replication, scalability and social and business impact.
In a statement received by the Communications Department of Clark Development Corporation (CDC-CommDep), Luenthai executive vice president Frank Sauceda thanked PMAP for the confidence entrusted to Luenthai through the award.
“This recognition further strengthens our belief that a caring spirit for the employees and the community is a manifestation of good corporate citizenship, ” he said.
“The award further boosts the company’s desire to continue on with the journey in effecting positive changes not just by providing skills training and livelihood but also in improving the well-being of many orphaned, neglected and underprivileged members of the society through various community outreach programs,” Sauceda added.
He expressed gratitude to the program partners namely, Tuloy Foundation Inc. headed by Fr. Rocky Evangelista; CDC, through Lawyer Arthur P. Tugade; and other local government unit (LGU) and non-governmental organization (NGO) partners.
CDC officials led by Tugade conveyed congratulations and commendations to the company, emphasizing the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs of Clark locators in community development and nation building.
To date, the “iServe.iGive Back” program has generated over Php880,000 employee donation benefiting 11 charitable institutions in Pampanga, with seven well established schools spread across Angeles City, Mabalacat, Porac, Clark and Bataan with over 1,500 graduates, more than half of which are hired by Luenthai and others gainfully employed in other factories in the province.
Luenthai has also hired over 20 dressmaking graduates from Tuloy sa Don Bosco in Alabang through the preferential hiring program.
