CLARK FREEPORT -- The Clark Investors and Locators Association (Cila) will be holding its 20th Annual Golf Tournament on May 18 at the Mimosa Golf and Country Club.

In a statement sent to this paper, Danilo Abad, Cila Corporate Secretary and Tournament Committee Head said the activity aims to shell out funds for the benefit of the less privileged children in Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) and neighboring communities.

"The fundraising initiative will also support the association's ongoing trainings in Balibago, Angeles City wherein 20 students undergo sewing courses every month," the statement added.

Thus, the tournament also serves as a venue to strengthen bonds between locators, investors, and other associates to further enhance business relationships towards an optimum future for Clark.

"We have been doing this regularly for many years. It's more fulfilling to enjoy the game while helping the community. With the support of our allies like the Laus Group of Companies which is one of our major sponsors, we believe it will be a success," he said.

Abad noted that around 120 participants from different companies inside Clark, members of Mimosa Golf Club, guests, and walk-ins are expected to join the tournament.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,000 for Mimosa members and P2,800 for non-members.

Tee time will start at 6 in the morning up to 12 noon. Awarding will be held at Mimosa Hilltop Restaurant at 5:00 pm.

"The association is encouraging member and golfers to participate in this annual sporting event and become part of the fundraising efforts of CILA."
