CDC music ministry to launch Holy Mass album

THE CDC Music Apostolate, which is based in Mexico town, Pampanga will launch an album on songs used in the Holy Mass on December 11 at the Chapel of the Holy Guardian Angels inside Holy Angel University here.

On Pampanga Day, December 11, the group will launch their third and fourth books/albums entitled: “Ephatha” and “Bandi Cu”.

There will be a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. to be followed by a short presentation by various guest artists, choirs and musicians under the baton of Sir Jericho Torres of Apalit, Pampanga.

Guest performers include former Councilor Maricel Morales, Fr. Carmelo Agustin, Jason Sampang, Princess Tiosejo, Matt Mangiliman, Sta. Maria Choir-Minalin, The Lord’s Presentation Parish Choir-Macabebe, guest Cello, String and Violin Quartets and some seminarians.

Founded in June 2012, the group’s main aim is to promote and cultivate interest on Kapampangan songs as well those used in liturgical services.

The group’s lyricist and musical composer are Don Mauro Gomez and Nilo Nucup respectively. The named CDC was derived from the group’s first song composition: “Capatad Da Ca”.

Since this is an apostolate, the group receives no monetary compensation for the granting of these requests.

Following the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur of Rev. Msgr. Ricardo J.T. Serrano, SLD and the Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias, DD respectively, the group launched its first collection of original Kapampangan Mass and devotional songs entitled “Capasngauan” on 20 November 2015 at the Our Lord’s Annunciation Parish, San Vicente, Mexico town.
