CEBU, June 27 (PIA) – Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Officers Club, Inc. (BSPOCI) brought to Cebu City a forum on Filipino excellence at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Assembly Hall on June 24.

The forum, dubbed “World Class Pinoy”, was led by motivational speakers Mike Grogan and Thomas Graham, both authors of books celebrating successful Filipinos and the potential in every Filipino.

Grogan, in his talk, said that Filipinos have “so much potential” as he witnessed the “bayanihan, walang iwanan, at kapatiran” qualities of the Filipino people during the time he volunteered for Gawad Kalinga (GK).

On the other hand, Graham, a former British journalist who quit his job and visited GK communities, discussed his experience with typhoon-hit GK communities in Bantayan Island and how the hospitality and generosity of the families won him over.

The forum at BSP is one of a series of talks done by Grogan and Graham in several venues in Cebu.

They also spoke at St. Louis College, Cebu Chamber of Commerce, Movenpick Resort and Spa, and Convergys.
