3-day skate for a cause at SM Seaside City set

SM Seaside City Cebu and Pandoo Foundation are working together for a charity event that aims to help underprivileged children coming from various places in Metro Cebu.

Pandoo Foundation is a non-profit organization that educates and empowers children through communication and literacy, sports and leadership, and teamwork and community outreach programs with the help of its parent company in Singapore, the ShiftRunner.

With the mission of expanding ice sports in the Philippines, Pandoo Foundation wants to realize its philanthropic ambitions by initiating a Learn-to-Skate Camp at SM Seaside City Cebu’s Ice Rink.

The three-day camp set on June 20 to 22, from 7 to 9 p.m., aims to help skaters, including those who are new to the sports, to learn techniques from the professionals. The event will feature Paul Martini, Canadian Olympian figure skater, and Sarah Zacharias, accredited Hockey Canada female-coach.

The event will allow participants to register and donate P600 for a one-day camp; P1,500 for a three-day camp, and P200 for the event T-shirt.

The event is open to all ages.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help fund the projects of Pandoo Foundation.

Meanwhile, on June 23 to 25, there will be a hockey school for youth players from around South East Asia who will be performing by groups at SM Seaside City Cebu-Ice Skating Rink from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
