Eriberta Spring Resort
Eriberta, Tuboran Spring, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur own and manage by the family of Molave Mayor Flavio Saniel Jr. Resort.
Saniel's envisioned of making the family land which has the Tuboran spring on it into one of the tourist destinations of Zamboanga del Sur. And true indeed to his vision, the place became the haven of the people not only of Zamboanga del Sur, but reaching far from the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte, and foreign nationals.
HISTORY
Eriberta Spring Resort derived its name from a woman named Eriberta Jamorol Saniel, the wife of a farmer from Argao, Cebu Flavio Kintanilla Saniel, whose family migrated to Tangub City, Misamis Occidental in 1936, and in 1943 after World War II, moved to Molave, Zamboanga del Sur and settled in Barangay Tuboran, Molave (now Mahayag), Zamboanga del Sur.
Until recently, only residents living near and around Barangay Tuboran could enjoy the Tuboran spring and its beauty. However, efforts were made by the Provincial Government, under the guidance of Molave Mayor Flavio Saniel Jr., in coordination with the local government units of Molave and Molave, the road leading to the Eriberta Spring Resort have improved. This has opened the way for more tourists, local and foreign nationals, to visit one of Zamboanga del Sur's natural beauties.
The development of the resort started on January 8, 2002, by the youngest son of Flavio and Eriberta Saniel, named Flavio J. Saniel, Jr., the immediate Municipal Mayor of Molave. The Eriberta Spring Resort opened to the public in 2003.
Location
The Eriberta Spring Resort is located in Barangay Tuboran, about seven kilometers from the town proper, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.
Eriberta Spring Resort can be reached from two directions from Zamboanga del Norte via Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur to Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag to Barangay Tuboran and from Lanao del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay Province, Misamis Occidental and Zamboanga del Sur via Culo, Molave to barangay Parasan, Molave, to Eriberta Spring Resort in barangay Tuboran.
