*ASSEMBLY OF GOD (A.G.)
**Verbatim from Francis Dave Mabborang
:It is Barangay Bacsay’s first established church. It is also considered the first Pentecostal church established in Lower Apayao. It is located in Purok Sur. The Assembly of God located in Bacsay is known also as the Mother church of many other Pentecostal churches established in Lower Apayao. It is established around 1963 during the term of President Diosdado P. Macapagal.
:The history of establishing the A.G. Church in Barangay Bacsay begins in the missionary efforts leaded by Rosina Corpuz with her two companions named Mena Largisabal and Cecilia Chavez which came from the Bible Institute of Valenzuela, probably located in the province of Rizal, about 1962 to 1963. The first establishment of the building of this church is made in light materials like bamboos. The piece of land where the church is currently established is donated by Nicholas Vidad and Cricencio Deza. In relation to the background history of the place to the church, the old Bacsay consists before of Barangay Bacsay, Shalom, Dagupan and San Gregorio. The establishment of the church faced many problems in its beginning such as calamities and lack of funds. A.G. Church-Bacsay is visited by another missionary group headed by Leonardo Capot from the Oriental Missionary Mission based in U.S.A. which renovates the church and established its building into concrete materials. Teodoro Modesto is the first official preacher of the established church. The gatherings conducted in the church are attended by many Ilocanos and Negritoes. The establishment of A.G. Bacsay paves the way of other Pentecostal churches in lower Apayao.
