LUCENA CITY—One person was killed and four others were injured in a road accident along the zigzag diversion road in Atimonan, Quezon province, on Friday. | |||
Quezon police chief Senior Supt. Valeriano de Leon said a Bicol-bound cargo truck was descending the diversion road in Barangay Sta. Catalina at around 2:20 a.m. when it lost its brakes and bumped three passenger buses and an Izusu Elf truck before coming to a halt. | |||
Henry Buzar, coordinator of the Quezon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, said the driver of the Elf truck was dead on arrival in a hospital in the city, where the three truck helpers were also rushed. | |||
