SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela- The city’s “bagsakan center” was relocated from the public market to the integrated transport terminal compound at Barangay Malvar to maintain traffic order and cleanliness of the city public market. | |||
City Agriculturist Dominador Fernandez said the city government officials have seen the importance of relocating the agriculture products bagsakan center from the public market to prevent traffic congestions along the national road, and to avoid wastes generated from agriculture products that create eyesores in the public market. | |||
Fernandez said that the need to have agriculture food terminal in the city is of necessity, not only to ease the traffic inside the city’s business district but also to put things in order. | |||
“We salute our city officials for prioritizing the relocation of our bagsakan center," Fernandez said. | |||
The city government has requested assistance from the Department of Agriculture 2 to realize the establishment of bagsakan center. | |||
