LUCENA CITY, Quezon- The city government of Lucena will host the regional launching of the anti-dengue campaign on May 2 spearheaded by the Deapartment of Health (DoH) Calabarzon region.
LUCENA CITY, Quezon- Naglunsad kamakailan ng radyo eskuwela na may titulong, "Sistema sa pagpapalayan, ating pag-aralan," ang provincial agriculture office sa pangunguna ni provincial agriculturist Roberto D. Gajo sa pakikipagtulungan sa Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) 4A ng Department of Agriculture (DA) para sa mga magsasaka sa mga bayan ng San Antonio, Tiaong, Candelaria, Sariaya, at Lucena.


According to city assistant health officer Dr. Vincent Martinez, the Department of Health (DOH) IV-A has chosen this city to be the venue of anti-dengue campaign because of the high cases of dengue recorded last year.
Sa pamamagitan ng radyo, isang makabagong teknolohiya sa sistemang pagpapalayan ang ituturo sa mga magsasaka. Isang estratehiya na mas madaling makakapulot ng kaalaman sa pakikinig sa radyo na ihahatid ng mga agricultural technician ng ATI-4A.


The DOH wants the residents of this city to be aware on the prevention of dengue by initiating clean-up drive in their respective homes, Dr. Martinez said, adding that if the 53,000 households in the city will help the city government on its anti-dengue campaign there maybe no cases of dengue that will be recorded.
Ito rin ay magibibgay oportunidad sa mga magsasaka na makapag-aral ng iba pang proyektong pangkabuhayan dahil ito ay may talakayan at pagsasanay kung saan ang mga magsasaka ang estudyante.


Representatives from the different health sectors CALABARZON region are expected to attend the anti-dengue campaign launching.
Ayon kay Gajo, lubos ang kanyang pasasalamat sa radyo eskuwela na inihahandog ng ATI lalo na sa mga magsasaka ng Quezon.


Meanwhile, the city health office (CHO) held an 'anti-dengue infomercial' contest for high school and college students recently.
"Sa programa ng pamahalang panlalawigan isa itong patunay na higit pa nating mapapataas ang ani sa pagpapalayan at makadadagdag ng pangkabuhayan sa ating mga mamamayan," sabi ni Gajo.


The CHO also urged barangay officials to conduct ‘search and destroy’ operation on the possible nesting grounds of mosquitoes in their areas as part of anti-dengue prevention.
Bunga nito, hinikayat ni Gajo ang mga magsasaka sa mga nabanggit na bayan na makinig, makiisa sa programa na layong mapa-unlad ng ekonomiya lalo na ang sistemang pang-agrikultura.
 
Ang radyo eskuwela ay mapapakinggan tuwing Huwebes at Sabado, 10:30-11:30 ng umaga sa DZCT 105.3KHZ Fm.
