A magnitude 4 quake rocked the province of Batanes in Northern Luzon before dawn Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported. | |||
The quake occurred at 4:22 a.m. with its epicenter located 141 kilometers northwest of Basco. The quake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 11 kilometers. No damages or aftershocks are expected from the quake, Phivolcs said. | |||
Earlier, a magnitude 3.6 quake also occurred 71 kilometers southwest of Cotabato City at 12:44 a.m. The quake was also tectonic with a depth of 15 kilometers. No damages were also reported in the quake. | |||
