ILAGAN, Isabela- The Bureau of Internal Revenue-Revenue District Office (BIR-RDO) of Isabela reminded income taxpayers in the province to pay their income tax on or before the set deadline of filing on April 30, 2012. | |||
Revenue District Office head Nerissa Agraam issued the reminder and said that the BIR chief’s thrust this year is to raise collections from self-employed or professionals since the target taxes for fix income earners’ had already been met. | |||
She said that based on the data of BIR, professionals are only paying P5,000 income taxes and the commissioner wanted to increase it up to P100,000. | |||
“BIR (commissioner) Kim Henares’ thrust this year is to collect the right taxes from self-employed or professionals,” Agraam said. | |||
She said that taxes from income earners have already been met and the target now of the BIR is to increase the taxes on professionals. | |||
On the part of income tax on business, Agraam urge and require all value-added-taxpayers to submit to the BIR office the sales and purchases report as basis for computing the right taxes of businesses. | |||
She also informed taxpayers about the computerized scheme of tax payment where taxpayers can file taxes online. Taxpayers need to log on the BIR website at www.bir.gov.ph for the electronic services of the country’s revenue collection office. | |||
