ILAGAN, Isaebla- The provincial peace and order council (PPOC) has met yesterday to discuss possible moves to resolve crimes, which involve motorcycle riding-in-tandem following the reports of Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) of high profile crimes perpetrated by motorcycle riding-in-tandem in San Mateo and in Ramon that resulted to the killing of two barangay captains. | |||
Governor Faustino G. Dy III, chairman of the PPOC, ordered all municipal and city mayors in the province to closely coordinate with police station chiefs to jointly resolve and stop in their respective areas of jurisdiction that involves criminals using motorcycle in committing crimes. | |||
Dy also instructed the IPPO to strictly enforce measures that would stop criminal activities in the province while the Sangguniang Panlalawigan is still studying the proposal of the police on the “Oplan VISA” otherwise known as Vehicle Identification and Sticker Authenticity. | |||
He suggested that the police should establish checkpoints at all strategic places in the province and mobilize barangay tanods in the barangays to ensure that criminals have no chance to commit or execute crimes. | |||
IPPO chief Senior Superintendent Frankin Mabanag vowed to implement the suggestions made by the chairman of the PPOC particularly the estabishment of checkpoints to check motorcycles plying the the public roads. | |||
Mabanag also said he will order his COPs to closely coordinate with LCEs to avert crimes involving motorcycle riding-in-tandem. | |||
