ILAGAN, Isabela- The proposed P1.9-billion road project that the provincial government of Isabela is pushing will boost economic activity and promote the tourism spot of the four coastal towns once realized, according to governor.
In the second public consultation held here Thursday, Governor Faustino G. Dy III said the coastal area has a great potential tourist spots and once a road exist going to the four coastal towns would surely boost economic activity there.
The four coastal towns are Palanan, Maconacon, Divilacan, and Dinapigue.
Dy said while the primary purpose of the road connecting to the coastal towns is to easily deliver basic social services of the people in the area, the tourist spots will be noticed by future travelers once the road is opened.
Governor Dy said the conduct of consultation is a venue to make agreements so that nobody from the proposed project will be aggrieved and all apprehensions raised by the concerned sectors will be given due solutions.
Divilacan Mayor Venturino Bulan expressed his support to the move of the provincial government in the construction of road linking the coastal town from the mainland Isabela.
He said there will be a big benefit of residents from the coastal towns as they can easily and economically be reaching the mainland Isabela when roads are available.
