CABARROGUIS, Quirino, Feb. 24 (PIA) -- Around 51 solemnizing officers consisting of municipal chief executives and church leaders in the province participated in the one-day seminar/workshop on civil registration conducted by the National Statistics Office provincial office on Feb. 17, 2012. | |||
Provincial Statistics Officer Cherry Grace D. Agustin said the activity, which is part of the Civil Registration Month celebration, aims to remind Quirinians about the importance of registering civil registry documents which include birth, marriage and death certificates, and the certificate of no marriage. | |||
Agustin said Diffun Municipal Civil Registrar Lolita A. Marquez oriented the solemnizing officers on RA 9048 or the act authorizing the city or municipal civil registrar or the consul general to correct a clerical error or typographical error in an entry and/or change of first name or nick name in the civil register without need of a judicial order, amending Articles 376 and 412 of the Civil Code. | |||
