ALICIA, Isabela- At least 38 residents of Alicia from the different barangays of the town underwent a 10-day free massage skills training sponsored by the local government unit of Alicia and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)–Isabela. | |||
Mayor Maria Cecilia Claire Reyes said the provision of skills training is one of the programs of the local government unit in coordination with concerned national government agencies like the TESDA and other government agencies with programs on skills development and training. | |||
Reyes is also planning to organize the newly graduate massage therapist to be formed into an association that anytime their services are needed the leader will serve as over-all coordinator and send anyone from its members to give massage service. | |||
TESDA Provincial Director of Isabela Nestor Ave said the 38 massage therapy trainees were tested by TESDA before their graduation and all of them passed the skills assessment as certified massagers. | |||
