CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela- The Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 2 bared that the two Isabela citie, four Isabela municipalities and six Nuevmunicipalities of Nueva Vizcaya are 2011 Agripinoy rice achiever awardees. | |||
Orlando Lorenzana, DA 2 technical director, said the awardees received the award on February 10 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila. | |||
Lorenzana said that the cities of Cauayan and Santiago won in the city category while the municipalities of San Mateo, Cabatuan, Alicia and Delfin Albano all in Isabela as well as Solano, Bagabag, Bayombong, Dupax del Norte and Aritao in Nueva Vizcaya won on municipal category. | |||
Lorenzana said that the cities and the towns which won the Agripinoy rice achiever award received P1 million each from the Department of Agriculture. | |||
Meanwhile, 9 agricultural extension workers from Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya were also among the 19 agricultural extension workers in the whole country who were recognized during Saturday’s awarding ceremony at PICC. Each of them received P20,000. | |||
