CABATUAN, Isabela- The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel in this town are regulating individuals from selling firecrackers to ensure a safe a Christmas celebration. | |||
Firecracker sellers are now being closely monitored to ensure that they are following regulations set by the municipality and the BFP. | |||
The BFP said permits to sell firecrackers must be obtained from the municipal government and they are also advised to utilize the firecracker zone area and give safety tips to ensure that there will be no firecracker-related casualties or accidents. | |||
“The firecracker zone should be away from the public market to prevent hazards,” said Cabatuan fire officer Emiliano Garcia. | |||
Garcia added that the BFP will not allow any businessman to sell firecrackers without showing permit issued by the municipal government. | |||
“The BFP will closely monitor the entry of firecracker sellers who do not possess necessary permit to sell in the locality,” Garcia reiterated. | |||
Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) recommended the use of “torotot” instead of using firecrackers during holiday season to be safe from possible harm brought by improper use of firecrackers. | |||
