Simon M. Carpio was born in [[Mercedes|Mercedes, Zamboanga City]] on October 28, 1909. He is said to be the youngest son of [[Eladio Carpio]] and Dorotea Manuel Carpio and married Dolores Diaz Solano (1917-1997), born on September 16, 1917 and died, January 26, 1997. Their marriage was blessed with seven living children, six daughters and one son, and four of them died in infancy.<br> Simon died because of Cancer on May 29, 1988 at the age of 79 and his wife, Dolores Diaz Solano, died due to Cancer on January 26, 1997 at the age of 80, they were buried side by side at the Old Catholic Cemetery of Mercedes.
