KORONADAL CITY, Oct 22 (PIA) -- Interior and local government officials in South Cotabato hope time spent on getting permits and licenses will soon be shorter with their implementation of an improved business system. | |||
DILG Provincial Director Josephine Leysa, said 10 municipalities and the lone city of Koronadal have already been oriented on the computer-based DILG program on permits and licensing system. Software has also been installed in some LGUs. | |||
T'boli and Surallah towns were the last LGUs visited by DILG on Thursday and Friday for the same purpose. | |||
According to her, the program streamlines the processing of permits and licenses." | |||
From ten steps with 12 signatures we intend to standardize the process into 5-5-5: five steps, five signatures, five days in a unified form," she added. | |||
Leysa said they are encouraging LGUs to upgrade to best practice of three steps, three signatures, in one day processing. | |||
"Eventually, maybe we can achieve the efficiency of Makati and Marikina which follows a two-step process of file and pay,” she said. | |||
DILG hopes to complete all installations will be completed within October. | |||
