'''LTO-7 bolsters info drive on online driver’s education portal'''.<br>
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Authorities seized some PHP3.5 million worth of counterfeit medicines in a recent raid in Ozamiz City, police said. In a phone interview late Tuesday, Col. Michelle Olaivar, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office - Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) said the law enforcers did not expect to find a big number of both prescription drugs and over-the-counter medicines stored inside the suspect’s house identified as Leonardo Duma Jr. in that city. The police raiding team, together with personnel from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), searched the house of Duma, 56, in Purok 6, Barangay Calabayan based on three search warrants issued by a local court on March 5.
CEBU CITY – In a bid to totally eradicate red tape in driver’s license issuance, the Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO-7) has strengthened its information drive encouraging the public to avail of free comprehensive driver’s education (CDE) program and examination via the online portal. In a statement Thursday, LTO-7 regional director Victor Emmanuel Caindec said the CDE, through the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS), can be accessed 24/7. "Our online portal can be accessed anytime and anywhere. It also has the refresher course for the drivers for them to be reminded of the road safety, traffic rules, special laws, regulations, among others," Caindec said.

'''Zambo City residents warned vs. bad weather'''<br>
'''Crimes in Bacolod City down by 11.5 % in Feb'''<br>
ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city government has advised residents, especially those in the coastal and low-lying areas, to be vigilant amid the prevailing bad weather condition in Mindanao. Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said Wednesday the city is experiencing inclement weather due to the low pressure area (LPA) disturbance occurring in Mindanao and parts of the Visayas. “There may be floods and landslides due to continuous rain,” Salazar said.
BACOLOD CITY – The total crime volume here decreased by 11.48 percent in February this year compared to the number of crimes recorded during the same month in 2021. Figures from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on Thursday showed there were only 108 incidents last month while in February last year, there were 122. Col. Thomas Joseph Martir, police city director, commended the BCPO personnel for their accomplishment in reducing crimes. “Don’t lower your guards against all forms of criminality,” he told them.
