CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Department of Public Works and Highways - Aurora District Engineering Office (DPWH-ADEO) will start building another multi-purpose evacuation center in Dingalan, Aurora that will serve as a temporary shelter for residents in times of calamities. District Engineer Roderick Andal, in a statement Tuesday, said they target to finish the construction of the two-story facility by mid-June this year and turn it over to the local government unit of Dingalan before the onset of the typhoon season. The 480-square meter two-level facility will be built in the coastal barangay of Butas na Bato, Dingalan. The PHP9.49 million facility can also serve as a venue for meetings and other barangay activities.

DAVAO CITY – The city government here has banned caravans and motorcades related to the 2022 national and local elections starting immediately until May 8, 2022. In a statement Tuesday, Mayor Sara Z. Duterte said she signed an executive order (EO) that partially adopted Comelec Resolution 10732 except for Section 16, which outlined the guidelines on the in-person campaigns, rallies, caucuses, meetings, conventions, motorcades, caravans, and Miting de Avance under the new normal for the May 9 national and local elections. On Monday, she issued EO 10, Series of 2022, known as “An Order Providing Guidelines In Securing The Requisite Permit In The Conduct Of Election Campaign Activities in Davao City Until May 8, 2022, In Connection With the National And Local Elections.”
