DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – More than 16,000 jobs both local and abroad will be offered at the mega job fairs organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) –Eastern Pangasinan.
Fresnaida Guban, chief of DOLE-Eastern Pangasinan, said jobseekers may avail of these job openings on April 22 at the CB Mall in Urdaneta City and May 1 at the SM Rosales in Rosales town, from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon.
Gundan said the jobs fair aims to bring job opportunities closer to Pangasinenses from eastern part of the province seeking employment especially fresh graduates aspiring to work locally or abroad.
“It is an avenue where job seekers can save time, money and effort as they look for a job because instead of going to Manila and other provinces, the employers will bring their job vacancies closer to applicants,” she said in an interview on Wednesday.
She said at least 15 percent of the total applicants who registered and will avail of the job openings are expected to be hired on the spot in the jobs fair.
Gundan said over 50 various companies and local and overseas job placement agencies will join the mega jobs fair.
Likewise, she advised those who are interested to apply to bring with them copies of their complete requirements which includes transcript of records, certificate of employment if previously employed, birth certificate, certificate of trainings and seminars attended and other important documents needed for employment.
“Applicants should also come with their proper attire and a little bit presentable because some employers will actually look at the job seeker’s personality based on how they dress,” she added.
