- The Catholic churches or parishes in honor of the blessed Virgin Mary, celebrate this religious feast. Flowers are offered to the image of the blessed Virgin Mary by the religious catholics of Zamboanga City at their respective parish churches. In some barangays the festivities can be a bit more celebrated by doing parades and usually they have children participating dressed in white. The barangays whose fiestas fall in the month of May are more active in the celebration of the feast of Flores de Mayo.

- Feast of the Immaculate Conception (December 8)
- Hari Raya: "Hari Raya" = "Day of Celebration". A time for reconciliation and the renewal of relationships. Hari Raya is the day of celebration after the Muslim month of Ramadan.
