Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte (PIA) --- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has recently launched the Strike Team for Indigenous Peoples here, benefiting hundreds of Subanen in this municipality.

DTI-OIC Provincial Director Ms. Maridel Dengal said Jose Dalman was chosen to be the recipient of the Strike Team Project after Zamboanga del Norte was selected as among the few provinces to be piloted.

DTI-9 Regional Director Sitti Amina M.Jain said under the program, DTI will give assistance to its beneficiaries in the form of trainings, product development, provision of shared facilities and other related services.

Mr. Armand Bengco and Fr. Jennis Pingkian of the Colayco Foundation served as resource speakers during the one-day activity.

Bengco talked on EntrepreneurIal Mind-Setting and Fr. Pingkian on the Practical Money Management which put emphasis on Planning, Discipline and Simplicity (PDS).

Jose Dalman Mayor Rachel D. Ferrater, who stayed during the whole duration of the activity expressed her gratitude to DTI for identifying her municipality for the launching of the Strike Team Project as she urged her constituents to avail of the project and apply their learnings to their livelihood project.

The Strike Team project launching was attended by more or less 500 Subanens and local leaders of the municipality.
