Iloilo City—This city has made it to the Top 10 Cities to Watch 2017 list.

Lamudi Philippines, an online portal for real estate sector, ranked Iloilo City third in its annual listing.

Iloilo is just behind La Piñas in Metro Manila and Cebu. Lamudi noted that “Iloilo City has grown to rival the two in overall livability.”

For Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, the citation from Lamudi is a sign of Iloilo’s continuing growth and development.

Over the past five years, property developers such as Megaworld Corp. and Ayala Land Inc. have poured billions pesos in Iloilo City to build live-and-work play communities. There has been an array of spaces for new hotels, restaurants and offices catering to business process outsourcing (BPO) companies.

“Its well-educated workforce has contributed in the city jumping four spots to 91 in Tholons’ survey of best outsourcing destinations in the world,” Lamudi added.
