ICT Council to spearhead “TechSpark – Innovations for better CDO”

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, June 18 (PIA) – In celebration of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) month in June, the Cagayan de Oro – ICT (CDO-ICT) Business Council will spearhead an event dubbed “TechSpark-Innovations for better CDO” on 26 June 2015 at the Limketkai Mall Rotunda, Cagayan de Oro City.

“TechSpark-Innovations for better CDO” is a one-day event, aimed to raise awareness about technology innovation and introduction on how technology can help improve people’s lives and also create an environment of technopreneurship in Cagayan de Oro City.

According to John Arvin Adolfo, Executive Director, CDO ICT Business Council, TechSpark was inspired and conceptualized because of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ICT Month theme “Internet for All: No Juan Left Behind."

The event will have several activities particularly tech and innovations exhibit; new technology and services expo; tech competitions like tech quiz trivia and digital illustration expo.

Furthermore it will include tech talks; startup testimonies and plugins.

TechSpark CDO is organized by Startup CDO, CDO-ICT Business Council, DOST-ICTO Field Operations Office-Mindanao Cluster Office 2 and supported by Department of Trade and Industry – Misamis Oriental (DTI-MOR), City Government of Cagayan de Oro, Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) Misamis Oriental, Techtalks.PH, Developers Connect (DevCon), CDO Bloggers and SMART Communications Inc. among others.
