DTI allots PHP700T for skills training in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY, June 2 (PNA) -– The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has allotted PHP700,000 for the implementation of the bottom-up-budgeting project in this city.

The city council Tuesday has given its go signal for Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog to sign an agreement representing the city government with the DTI for the implementation of the skills training project that will have beneficiaries under the “Yaman Pinoy” project.

Specifically, the project will accommodate the women sector, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens and the Empowerment and Re-affirmation of Paternal Abilities Training (ERPAT).

As counterpart, the city government will have to provide PHP36,000 worth of equipment, said councilor Joshua Alim who pushed for the approval of the authority to sign.

Meanwhile, the city social welfare office will be tasked to identify the recipients of the skills training project.
