CDO IPs hold 2nd General Assembly

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- Almost 200 Indigenous People (IP) from 16 barangays of Cagayan de Oro participated in the second General Assembly held on January 15 at Balay Mindanaw Training Center at Patpat, barangay Lumbia.

One of the resolutions passed by the group is asking a request for the establishment of an IP Office at the City Hall.

On the other hand, City Social Welfare and Development officer Teddy Sabuga-a is optimistic that the mayor will grant their request the soonest possible time.

City Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) director Jane Docallos and former vice governor Norris Babiera attended the said event.

The theme centers on, "Pakiglambigitay, Pagtimbayayongay ug Pagtinabangay (Involvement, Cooperation, Mutual Help).”
