Volunteer workers in Iloilo get PHP4,000 each in cash incentives

ILOILO CITY, Dec. 13 (PNA) -- Some 14,250 volunteer workers from the province of Iloilo are recipients of PHP4,000 in cash incentives each as the provincial government’s way of honoring their hard work.

The provincial government will complete the distribution of the PHP57 million total cash incentives on Friday, according to the provincial information office.

On Tuesday, the cash incentives were released to barangay health workers, barangay service point officers, day care workers and barangay nutrition scholars volunteer workers from the municipalities of Barotac Nuevo, Dumangas, Anilao, Banate, Passi City, Dueñas, Dingle and San Enrique.

On Monday, the cash incentives were released to barangay health workers, barangay service point officers, day care workers and barangay nutrition scholars from the towns of Batad, Carles, Balasan, Estancia, San Dionisio, Sara, Barotac Viejo, San Rafael, Lemery, Ajuy and Concepcion.

Cash incentives will be released to volunteer workers in San Joaquin, Tubungan, Igbaras, Guimbal, Oton, Tigbuan, Miagao, San Miguel, Leon, Alimodian, Leganes, New Lucena, Pavia, and Zarraga on Thursday while on Dec. 15, volunteer workers from Janiuay, Lambunao, Maasin, Bingawan, Cabatuan, Calinog and Badiangan, Pototan and Mina will receive their share.

The granting of allowances or cash gifts to volunteer workers is a tradition that the governor has continued since 2010. Last year, each volunteer also received PHP4,000 worth of cash gift.
