CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte – Joint operatives from Ilocos Norte and San Mateo, Rizal province arrested last Wednesday Bacarra town Vice Mayor Pacifico Velasco in Barangay Ampil, San Mateo, Rizal, due to alleged violation of the anti-graft law. | |||
Superintendent Carlito Briones, San Mateo town chief of police, said that Vice Mayor Velasco was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by the Third Division of the Sandiganbayan for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. | |||
Velasco was arrested while he was exiting the Greenland Subdivision in Barangay Ampil, San Mateo, Rizal. | |||
Briones said that Velasco was immediately turned over to the Sandiganbayan Third Division after his mugshots and finger prints were taken. | |||
