MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, Dec. 7 (PIA) -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office 8 in close coordination with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Southern Leyte set a Local and Overseas Jobsfair on December 22 at the Maasin City gymnasium. | |||
DOLE regional director Forter G. Puguon said that, “interested applicants who are looking for work should bring along with them basic documents that are required in applying a job.” The labor and employment director said that the basic documentary requirements are the following: Resume, Employment Certificate, if there is any, Training Certificate if available, Diploma if the applicant is a graduate, and any other documents. | |||
Although the said jobsfair was first scheduled on Thursday, December 8, it had been reset on the 22nd of December due to other commitments or non availability of the personnel concerned. | |||
PESO reported that there are at least 17 participating agencies that will be present on the job hiring day, such as Naptron Placement Agency, Ozem International Placement Services, Verde International Manpower Services, Unijobs International Manpower Services Corp., Non-Stop Overseas Employment Corp., New Era Placement Agency Company, to name a few. | |||
On the other hand, the work to be offered are domestic helpers, household services, electronics, fabricator, painter, mason, laborer, plumber, accountant, baby sitter, chefs, drivers, carpenters, butcher, cashier, nurses, among others, the PESO staff added. | |||
Applicants may be hired either locally or internationally; at the local level, Gasiano Hi-per in Maasin City will participate in the event while those who may want to work abroad may be hired in countries like Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, among others.(RGC-PIA SoLeyte) | |||
