ZAMBOANGA CITY – The City Health Office is prioritizing the conduct of the measles-rubella (MR) and tetanus-diphtheria (TD) immunization drive in barangays with low cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Ma. Christine Lim, health education and promotion officer, said Tuesday the City Health Office pursues the implementation of other health programs despite the challenges on Covid-19. Lim said the community-based MRTD kicked off Monday in Barangay Capisan, here. “Barangay Capisan in the west coast was the kick-off area as it is one of the barangays with low cases of Covid-19,” Lim said in a statement. Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, accompanied by a group of vaccinators, spearheaded the kick-off activity, Lim said.
ILOILO CITY – The Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost) has delivered 193,823 national identification cards to residents in the province and city of Iloilo who registered for the Philippine ID System (PhilSys). From May to Nov. 5, 2021, PhlPost has received 263, 715 Philippine IDs for delivery, as per the latest data generated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Iloilo Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida C. Amolar, in an interview Wednesday, said the IDs are delivered to their residence, with low–income families who registered last year and earlier this year as priorities.

'''Cebu's 3rd bridge now 87% complete'''<br>
'''Cebu City parents urged to heed PRRD’s ‘no-kids-at-mall’ order'''<br>
CEBU CITY – The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway Corp. (CCLEC) has started the online registration for the installation of RFID (radio-frequency identification) stickers, which motorists will need to pass Cebu’s third bridge that is set to be operational early next year. The company announced on Tuesday that the construction progress of the 8.9-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) project was 87.14-percent complete as of end-October. The PHP30-billion toll bridge project, which will be substantially completed by yearend, will use an all-electronic toll collection system when it opens in the first quarter of 2022 to provide motorists with safe and seamless travel.
CEBU CITY – The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) on Wednesday urged parents here to follow President Rodrigo Duterte's order not to bring children aged 11 years old and below to public places. In a presser, Lt. Col. Wilbert Parilla, Cebu City Police Office deputy director for operations, said they are bent on implementing the presidential directive to help sustain the gains in the fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Duterte’s order, he said, is meant to protect children who are vulnerable to the viral illness, considering that their age group has not been included in the national vaccination rollout.
