'''‘I told Bong to run for president’: PRRD'''.<br>
'''Zamboanga, Davao cities to lift RT-PCR requirement on Nov. 16'''.<br>
MANILA President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said it was him who told Senator Christopher “Bong” Go to run for president after the latter dropped his vice presidential bid following presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s decision to run for vice president. “Umiiyak si Bong, sabi ko wag ka umiyak, bakit ka iiyak, bukas ang president, tumakbo ka. E bakit ka iiyak dahil lang anak ko sumingit bigla (Bong is crying, I said don’t cry, why are you crying, the race is open, run. Why are you crying just because my daughter came in suddenly),” Duterte said in an online interview with vlogger Byron Cristobal, known as Banat By, streamed on YouTube on Sunday night.<br>
ZAMBOANGA CITY/DAVAO CITY The local governments of Zamboanga City and Davao City on Monday said they will be lifting the Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) requirement for inbound travelers on November 16. Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, local Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) chairperson, said that in lieu of the RT-PCR requirement, fully vaccinated inbound travelers shall present their vaccination card and Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-Pass) permit upon entry in any and all borders of this city.

Davao City: In Davao City, the scheduled lifting of the RT-PCR requirement for land, sea, and air was announced by Mayor Sara Z. Duterte in a radio interview on Monday. “Executive Order (EO) No. 66 or lifting of the RT-PCR will take effect 12:01 am of November 16, 2021,” she said. Under the EO, Duterte said there is a need to put on hold the implementation of Davao City Ordinance No. 0477-21, known as "An Ordinance Providing for Mandatory Testing Prior To Entry into Davao City Via the Davao International Airport," because of the change in the Covid-19 status in the city.

'''Apply for 13th-month pay loan, Bello tells small biz owners'''<br>
'''Parents, teachers cautious as classes resume in Lanao Norte'''<br>
MANILA – Micro and small enterprises that are having difficulty in giving the 13th-month pay of their employees can apply for a government loan, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III said in a statement on Sunday. The Labor chief made the call as he reminded employers that the grant of 13th-month pay is mandated by law. He, however, assured establishments that are still struggling amid the reopening of the economy of the government's support through the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp). “Let me remind the employers that the grant of 13th-month pay is mandatory. We issued a Labor Advisory where we maintained that no exemption and no deferment will be allowed on the payment of the 13th-month pay. So, with this loan facility from SB Corporation, there is no more reason to not give the 13th-month pay,” Bello said during the ceremonial launch of the loan program with the Department of Trade and Industry and its financing arm, SBCorp on Friday.
LINAMON, Lanao del Norte - Face-to-face (F2F) classes at the Napo Elementary School (NES) here started Monday inside its newly painted buildings that pretty much looked the same as in previous school years, except for the colorful makeshift cubicles now installed in each student's tables that are meant to protect them from the coronavirus disease 2019. The mini cubicles, made of wood and plastic, made sure students will be separated from one another throughout the three- to four-hour class. A group of mothers waited for their children outside the NES as they were barred entry from the school grounds due to a F2F policy by the Department of Education (DepEd) that allows only school staff and students inside the school premises.
