ZAMBOANGA CITY – A businessman and three other men were arrested while some PHP207,692 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in the provinces of Zamboanga Sibugay and Tawi-Tawi, police officials said Wednesday. Arrested were Alan Porillo, 52; Rustom Shalim, 29; Suarez Auluddin, 34; and, Jess Aliakbar. Col. Albert Larubis, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, said Porillo, a businessman, was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in Purok Ipil- Ipil, Barangay Tenan, Ipil, the province’s capital.<br>

MANILA Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Arthur Tugade said a total of 19 airport and 33 seaport projects were completed in the last three months under the government’s massive infrastructure “Build, Build, Build” program. In his report during President Rodrigo Duterte’s ‘Talk to the People’ on Tuesday night, Tugade said the DOTr, under the Duterte administration, has completed a total of 233 airport projects as of November 2021. “In a period of three months, nakatapos, nakabuo, at nakaayos ho tayo ng mga paliparan at mga (we completed, built, and repaired airports and) airport projects,” Tugade said. He said the completed airport projects include the Bicol International Airport, Butuan Airport, Catarman Airport, Siquijor Airport, corporate building and second runway of the Mactan International Airport, General Santos International Airport, among others.
ANGELES CITY, Pampanga The isolation facility of the city government here inside the City College of Angeles (CCA) is now empty as coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases continue to drop. Reina Manuel, executive assistant IV of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., said on Thursday this is the only time for the facility to become empty since the pandemic began last year. Manuel is handling the operations and management at the isolation facility, together with City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra. She said the last six patients housed at the facility were released Thursday after their negative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results for Covid-19 came out.
