ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city health office (CHO) has started accommodating Tuesday walk-in individuals who wish to be inoculated in all its vaccination centers here. Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, said the move is to increase the number of people getting vaccinated daily. “We started accepting walk-in individuals in our vaccination sites,” Miravite said. She stressed though that vaccination of individuals according to priority groups who have pre-registered is still ongoing at the vaccination centers. Maria Christine Lim, health education and promotion officer, said there are 24 active vaccination sites in health centers, shopping malls, schools, as well as government centers and private offices, across the city.<br>
ZAMBOANGA CITY – A businessman and three other men were arrested while some PHP207,692 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in the provinces of Zamboanga Sibugay and Tawi-Tawi, police officials said Wednesday. BUTUAN CITY Heavy rains continued to affect most parts of Surigao City as of Tuesday afternoon, prompting officials to place the entire area under Alert Level 2. This came about as the Surigao Information Office issued a statement warning residents of possible flooding due to heavy rains. “The public is advised to take precautionary measures,said Annette Villaces, the information officer of Surigao. The continuing heavy rains and thunderstorms in the area are due to a “shear line” as stated in the advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday. “Meantime, 49.2 mm amount of rainfall has been recorded for the last two hours in the city,” Villaces said.
MANILA Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Arthur Tugade said a total of 19 airport and 33 seaport projects were completed in the last three months under the government’s massive infrastructure “Build, Build, Build” program. In his report during President Rodrigo Duterte’s ‘Talk to the People’ on Tuesday night, Tugade said the DOTr, under the Duterte administration, has completed a total of 233 airport projects as of November 2021. “In a period of three months, nakatapos, nakabuo, at nakaayos ho tayo ng mga paliparan at mga (we completed, built, and repaired airports and) airport projects,” Tugade said.
