R Suites opens 87-room hotel in CDO

THERE will be 87 rooms that will add to the room capacity of Cagayan de Oro’s hotel industry. R Suites opened its four-storey building downtown which is expected to fill in the room gap of the hospitality sector here.

R Suites-Cagayan de Oro located at Capistrano-Kalambagohan streets announced their two-month soft-opening promotional room rates on Friday, September 30.

R Suites has three types of rooms, namely: deluxe, superior and suite type. The deluxe rooms offer one full sized bed for P800 while superior rooms have one twin sized bed and one full-sized bed for P880.

The suite rooms have one full-sized bed and a single bed for P960. All these rooms come with amenities such as hot and cold shower, LED cable TV and free Wifi connection.

R Suites accommodation includes 24-hour security, a wide parking area, a coffee shop and breakfast service for its guests. It also has function rooms that can accommodate up to 30 persons.

"What is unique about R Suites is that even if the rooms are categorized as pension inn rooms, we assure that the service quality of our crew and the lodging experience of our guests will be like that of hotels,” said Marites Ramos, general manager of R Suites Cagayan de Oro.

“Basically, we offer high end accommodations for a more affordable price," said Ramos.

R Suites is also planning to add more function rooms and develop a rooftop function area in the next months, Ramos added.

While Cagayan de Oro City is on its way to having a robust tourism industry, hotel rooms here are in demand especially for an overnight stay.

Local and foreign tourists visit Cagayan de Oro for nature adventure and unique food trips. Cagayan de Oro is also the jump off place of nearby provinces like Camiguin Island, Bukidnon and even Davao city which are also known for giving unique nature adventure trips to visitors.
