- Our Department
The Statistics Department under the revised statutes of Anguilla, Chapter S60 of December 2000, is given the mandate to officially:
- collect, compile, analyse, abstract and publish statistical information relative to the commercial, industrial, social, economic and general activities and conditions of the people who are the inhabitants of Anguilla:
- collaborate with all other departments of Government and with local authorities in the collection, computation and publication of statistical records of administration;
- take any census in Anguilla; and
- generally to organize a coordinated scheme of social and economic statistics and intelligence pertaining to Anguilla;

Why do I have to complete a National Accounts and/or Balance of Payments Questionnaire?
- The data collected from these questionnairs are used to compile Anguilla's national Accounts and Balance of Payments Reports. This set of economic indicators are used by the ECCB to set monetary policy for this region, assist potential and existing investors, like yourself, in their business decision-making and by Government in designing economic and fiscal policies and programmes.
Why do we collect prices every quarter from the shops and supermarkets on Anguilla?
- The prices collected are used to calculate the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is a measure of the average changes in prices over time of goods and services purchased by householders
